High School Graduation and Lessons of Life

Now I have been saying since the start of the school year that I could not wait for graduation, but can't it wait a few more months!! Being a senior in high school has really made me open my eyes and figure out who I am and what I want to do with my life. I have had the wonderful opportunity to serve with some really amazing people on my high school seminary council and that has taught me many things but most importantly: to never take anything Brother Smiths says without a straight face seriously, to stay close to may Savior, and that there is no more important thing than scripture study. My brother Daniel moved to Idaho in November and that was kind of hard for me, because he is one of my best friends but his moving has enabled me to strengthen my relationship with my sister Katee and my oldest brother Marcus. My brothers and sister have taught me many lessons: never take yourself to seriously, just be yourself, you can do anything you set your mind to, and stay close to my Savior. My grandparents have taught me some valuable lessons this school year as well: enjoy Life, save up for your college education 2 years ago, and stay close to your Savior. I must also mention my cousin Jeff. He helped me with Dano's move and the stress of my senior year by teaching me: there is always an end wether you see it or not, you can't do everything on your own you sometimes need to ask for help, read your scriptures, say your prayers, and stay close to the Savior. My friends both in Idaho and Utah have helped me thru senior year by teaching me: do your homework on time it is so much easier that way, don't get to cocky, plan for the future, enjoy the moments that are in front of you, don't get caught in all the drama, and stay close to the Savior. Finally is my parents. My mom and dad have taught me more in this past year than I think any teenager can process all at once. They taught me to not worry about what others thought of me, to plan ahead for the future, don't compromise you who are to please someone else, be honest, balance your checkbook because mom and dad will not always be there to bail you out when you bounce a check, one day I will miss my brothers and sister and all the teasing they put me through, to say my prayers, read my scriptures, and most importantly to STAY CLOSE TO MY SAVIOR.
